This is one of our rodeo mares we finally decided we need to get some foals out of her before she gets too old. We have been so happy how this family has been crossing with Fab. This is an appendix mare out of a TB stud that was hauled up & down the rodeo road. He has been a sire of rope & barrel horses. Miss Orphan Bear is a second generation mare for us. Hauled and used as a Team Roping horse for years.  Great rope horse just like her dam.  She is carrying on this proven female line for the Nichols Family. The dams for three generations have produced outstanding horses through the years. I have yet to be disappointed with one of her foals. They have gone various directions from roping to barrels. If it works out one her foals will make a showing at the barrel futurities in 2004.  They all have the looks, ability, and dispositions this line is known for.

A really nice, solid built mare. She is 12.5% Driftwood out of Flipwood (Buckskin full brother in blood to Wilywood). She has excellent bone and good muscle. She has a great disposition, lots of cow sense, and willing to do anything. She went to the broodmare pen, as she is shorter than I prefer to use as a head horse. If she puts half the "heart" and "staying power" in her foals that she has, I will be happy.   From only a few foals she is already putting the bone, muscle & willingness into them.

She is in Arizona starting her roping career.  We were not able to race her last year due to an injury, but she is fine now - ready to start her performance career.  This is the first offspring out of one of my headline mares “Mistys Dash of Fame.”  We flushed an embryo last year since she was laid up – can’t wait to see if it is a natural performer like its dam.  If you will notice she is a product of 2 superior female lines top & bottom.   Dam’s side has over $500 K in barrel money-earners (and still growing) plus exceptional track runners.  The top side is one of the most prolific race lines still active.  Corona Chick & her dam Sizzling Lil have combined offspring earnings in excess of $5 million & still growing.  There are 3 World Champions between them & it probably won’t stop there.
